Are you buried in data? Do you wish you could access your data more easily and manage it more efficiently? Triple Helix Corporation has been helping companies do just that since 2004.

We have worked with clients across many different industries including manufacturing. One of the companies we worked with recently is Miyoshi America Inc. Miyoshi is an industry-leader in designing and manufacturing surface treated pigments and powders for personal care products.

Miyoshi was struggling to manage a production schedule that was ever-changing. Each week a plan would be laid out but as the week progressed, changes were unavoidable. Things would pop up, such as emergency maintenance of equipment, and it would cause the production schedule to have to be edited. Planning had NO visibility to these changes as they were occurring, and often found out too late their schedules and delivery commitments were going to slip.

It was a lot to deal with.  Miyoshi wanted a way to see all changes to their schedule in real-time and seamlessly communicate this information between departments.  Our development team at Triple Helix Corporation met with leadership to discuss these pain points (and others) to see how we could get the company managing their data more efficiently.

We created 3 scheduling dashboards: Planning, Production, and Maintenance. These 3 dashboards were set up in a way in which ALL connected to each other to show impacts and visibility to events when things changed, and ALL connected to their ERP system to reflect the current state of customer commitments.

Now everyone can SEE what the current state is and use this information to properly plan, adapt, perform maintenance activities, and communicate expectations with customers.

Since these Phase 1 updates were implemented, Miyoshi’s response to the new improvements has been overwhelmingly positive.

So what’s next? Triple Helix Corporation is already full-steam-ahead into Phase 2. Our developers have already begun working on the next set of improvements including manpower scheduling & allocation, job status/progress, quality, and even real-time monitoring of their ovens as production is happening.
